Billa 2 to Arrive as Summer Vacation

Very films create such sensation from the time prior to official confirmations are made. The film is directed by Chakri Toleti and is produced at a whooping budget. Buzzes are that the satellite rights are sold to Sun TV for a big sum approximately rounding up around 6.25Crores. We have some latest information about the film about the status of music and theatrical release. It is heard that the music will be released by last week of April while the theatrical release somewhere in May.

Billa 2 release postponed further

Here is the latest on summer of 2012's hottest release, Ajith's Billa 2. The film was originally planned to release on April 13, as a Tamil New Year special.

Then, the producer postponed the release to April 27 to coincide with Thala's birthday on May 1.

But the strike in the Industry has delayed the shoot of the film. Producer Sunir Kheterpal realised that he was behind schedule as post production is bound to take time.

Now, the latest we hear is that Sunir himself has tweeted that release would be delayed and pushed the release to second half of May 2012.

The soundtrack and the trailer will take be released between April 15 to 25.

AJITH TO START AN NGO?

Thala is known for doing things his own way. He had disbanded his fans’ association nearly a year ago. Interestingly, he had done this despite a huge fan following. The latest news is that Ajith is contemplating on starting an NGO.

Thala is known for his social service activities especially towards the differently-abled. It is said that he may begin an NGO that will serve for welfare of the differently-abled. However, there is no official word about this yet and we are expecting one soon.

Billa 2 Audio Sold to Sony Music

Billa 2 Audio rights has been snapped up by Sony Music at a record price. Billa 2 music has been scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja and there are six songs in the album including a promotional video song. Billa 2 audio launch is expected to take place by end of March or by 1st week of April. Directed by Chakri Toleti Billa 2 features Ajith and Parvathy Omanakuttan in lead roles.

Mankatha sweeps awards in Singapore

Ajith’s Venkat Prabhu directed Mankatha swept the maximum number of awards at the third International Tamil Film Awards , held in Singapore during the weekend.

Venkat Prabhu and his gang were not disappointed as Mankatha bagged awards in five categories- Best Film, Best Director (Venkat Prabhu), Best Cinematographer (Sakthi Saravanan), Best Female Singer (Suchitra) and Best Supporting Role (Premgi Amaren).

A pleased Venkat Prabhu tweeted – “ Mankatha dominates ITFA” and thanked all the artists and his friends.

Parvathy says that it is an unforgettable experience working with Ajith

Billa 2 is a film which has Ajith in the lead role. This film which has been directed by Chakri Toleti has Parvathy Omanakuttan in the female lead role. Parvathy who had so far been acting in Bollywood films is now debuting as heroine through the Tamil film Billa 2. Parvathy said, "Since I had acted in Bollywood films I learnt the intricacies in cinema. I came to know from Bollywood that one can become popular only if you act with big stars. In that way I got that kind of opportunity in Billa 2. When I signed for this film there was some kind of uneasiness and nervous feeling. I use to speak Malayalam in my house. I was wondering that how I will speak in Tamil and act. Anyway I was cheerful because I was going to act with my favourite actor Ajith. It is unforgettable experience acting with him. He use to respect everyone without seeing any status. I was amazed seeing his character."
